Q: Can we work out a payment schedule?

(Not applicable for bulk orders).

Q: I have a bulk order, can I get some form of discount? What is your scheme of payment?

A: Yes, you can get discount on bulk orders, variable according to job specifications.
For bulk orders, I shall initially work on one file and send it for approval. On approval and subsequent receipt of 25% of the total bulk-order payment, I shall work on the first 25% of the order. Once completed, approvals will be requested from you. On approval and subsequent receipt of the next 25% of the total bulk-order payment, we shall work on the second 25% of the order, etc. till the entire 100% is done. The reason we insist on receiving payments for bulk orders before work is started, as opposed to single order payments, is the time and work involved to process bulk orders. At any point of time you can cancel your bulk order, but payment for amount of work already done will not be refunded. All work completed and paid for will be send as high resolution files even if you cancel the order. If on the other hand, after initial approval of the first image, the first 25% of the job is not approved, and subsequently the job is cancelled, then you will be charged for the first image that was approved and high resolution file will be provided even though you cancelled the job, as the work was done and it was approved.
70% of the amount you paid on the first bulk-order installment will be refunded to you without providing high-resolution images. The remaining 30% will not be refunded as it will charged as job charges. If on the other hand, after initial approval of the first image but the bulk-order is cancelled, then you will be charged for the first image that was approved and high resolution file will be provided even though you cancelled the job, as the work was done and it was approved. No other charges will be made. Any other amount you may have accidently paid will be fully refunded.

Q: How is the finished work delivered to me? Will you make prints?
A: The most common is sending the file as an attachment to an e-mail message or uploading it to our site, so that you can download it from the specific address. I can also deliver via DHL however extra charges as applicable will apply. By default I prefer uploading it to this site so that you can download it from the specific address, this is useful especially since the final high resolution files tend to be very high.
I do not make prints of your photographs, this is so that its is easier for you to use and print the file directly at your local store. This also helps to reduce the unnecessary cost of printing and postage of prints that you would have to incur.

Q: How long does a job take to be completed? Do you charge more for urgent jobs?

A: Usually jobs will take about 3-5 working days to complete after which they will be send for approval. Once approved, the final image will be send to you as soon as the payment is received.
For rush/urgent jobs - add $15(55 Dhs) to your job cost (rush/urgent jobs not undertaken for digital paintings and custom digital paintings).

Q: What if I am unhappy with my photo, do I loose my money?
A: If your are unhappy with the job, you need not make a payment. Any job I undertake will be completed and a low resolution file will be send to you for your approval. You only need to pay us after your approval. Once payment is received, the high resolution file will be sent to you.

Q: You had restored a picture for me about an year back, however my computer crashed and I lost the final file you sent me. Is there any way you can have it resend?
A: Yes, all the jobs I do are backed up safely. With respect to your privacy, utmost care is taken of these images. Should you ever loose the final high res copy of your image, I will only be too glad to send you a copy again free of cost. However, depending on the time the image was restored, I may need the name of customer (and date of job if possible) and details of the photo that was restored to enable quick locating of the missing photo from my archive.

Q: Why should I use your service, what are the advantages? are there any disadvantages?

A: Firstly, customer satisfaction is my number one priority. I believe each photo I work with is a part of my customer, their life and story... and to recreate that bit of their life is my success and their joy.
Secondly, quality and professionalism. Unlike other services, imaging works here at Retouchpix.com is done by a professional. You can even refer to my advertising/studio portfolio to see some of the work I have done. I put in a lot of attention to each photo to restore it to its original.
Thirdly, cost effectiveness. Compared to others providing these services, my prices are much cheaper and you only pay if you are happy with what you get, and I guarantee you will be happy.
The only disadvantage (to you) to my service is, you are going to keep coming back with more photos for me to restore, which I will only be too happy to do.

Q: What about copyright & privacy issues? Will you display my photo on the website?
A: All photos received by me, are treated with utmost care and privacy. You privacy is respected and all images are kept safely in backup after completion of the work. I assume the pictures you send me are your own property. I will not be held liable for any copyright infringement or similar arising out of work done on copyrighted images provided by you.
If you do not wish your photo to be displayed, I shall not display it on the site. By default, most of the photos I work with will be displayed on the site as examples in very low resolution (see the kind of image examples on the site) these low res files cannot be used by others for any purpose other than viewing, they are too small. However the option to display your image on the site as example purpose is yours.

with your questions, comments etc.

Q: How should I scan my photo? What file format and size should I choose?

A: You should scan your photo in color mode (even if its a black and white photo, scan in color not black and white) at 300 ppi (600 ppi or more if you want to enlarge it to double its original size) in 24-bit.
In any case the bigger size (in pixels) your digital image is, the more qualitative restoration will be done.
